The Best Eco-friendly Cleaners

Staff at Earth Concerns Cleaning use public transit or bicycles to access the job-site. We do not have a fleet of cars driving products and tools around the city out of respect for our local air quality and our world environment. Clients need to have vacuum, broom, mop, bucket, products and cloths at the job-site. Moving mops, vacuums and tools from house to house is not hygienic and a potential allergy, bug, and virus issue. Cleaning teams who drive around the city spend 50% of their time in the car.

Basic Products You Need

  1. All Purpose Soap – or a vegetable-all-based soap like Liquid Dish Soap

  3. Glass Cleaner – or vinegar and water in a spray bottle

Green Washing

Words like GREEN or NATURAL do not mean the product is biodegradable, organic, environmentally- safe, healthy and non-toxic. Watch out for highly scented and dyed products claiming to be eco-friendly. Dyes and scents are unnecessary and many are artificial with unknown chemical content. Many commercial companies have adopted the word and the colour green to sell products but that is all they have done. Even naturally scented products can be overly scented and disruptive to individuals with sensitivities.

Disinfecting

Hydrogen peroxide can be applied after staff have cleaned the surface with soap and water. Nature Clean Non-Chlorine Liquid Bleach (see product line-up below) is 5% Hyrdogen Peroxide. We do not use chlorine bleach for staff health and the world environment.

Attitude All Purpose Disinfectant Cleaner is a wonderful addition to our product line-up (below), cleaning while disinfecting.
